Alicia Witt was a musician from her earliest onscreen days, but she's best known as an actor, musician, singer or pianist. After a decade of primarily working as a piano player, she released her eponymous album that showed Alicia Witt's adamant debt in the direction of Elton John, Billy Joel as well as other artists, and a warm, strong voice. Revisionary History was her first studio album. The album was co-produced by Ben Folds. The Conduit was her next release, and it was her first time in co-production. Alicia Witt first appeared onscreen in 1984 when she played Alia Atreides as part of David Lynch's film adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune. While she was just 10 in 1984, it's no surprise that she got pigeonholed for acting as an actor, singing, despite having played piano since her first acting experience. Though she appeared more on screen but her profession as a musician didn't begin until 1995.
